Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Nursing has incorporated a Prescription Produce Program into its mobile health and wellness services to combat food insecurity and chronic disease. Participants receive produce “prescriptions” to support cooking and healthier eating – an example of a clinically linked veg consumption intervention that could inform future program design discussions.
